Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

If that makes no difference, try deleting and reinstalling the Twenty Twenty theme. (if Twenty Twenty is your only installed theme, you’ll need to install a second theme, like Twenty Nineteen, to facilitate this)

    Problem resolved

    Hi James,

I’m getting the very same issue, tried to update the files on my local machine (OSX), dev server, and production server, but the issue still persists on all 3. Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling TwentyTwenty, no changes.

I did notice that, on my local, I hadn’t updated to 5.5.1 yet, so I used that instance to test if it is caused by the most recent update. The issue did indeed start showing up once I updated.

Apologies if this should’ve been submitted as a new thread (since this has been marked “Resolved”), but I’m seeing the same symptoms.Let me know if you’d prefer a new one and I’ll go ahead and repost.

I have 3 blogs all using the same Theme and plugins. The errors where showing up on only 1 not the others. Found that all blogs where working OK, so went to look at other blogs and found the same errors in css. Investigating a little further found the error checker was on in one blog and not the others. Thuned off the error checker and the notices are gone.

I was having the same issue and after reading this I re-installed WordPress and it seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks All ??
