    Hi,

Please create a Facebook app on Facebook Developers and add the App ID and App Secret to the Options page of the plugin.

    Cheers!

Adding App ID & Secret does not fix this problem. How do I know? I’ve been using the plugin for a couple years. ID & secret were added a long time ago. I think there is a compatibility issue with WP version 4.9.6 and current ver of WD Feed Plugin because when I updated to 4.9.6 Feed plugin broke my website until I deactivated it.

    Please address.

Sorry, I use a facebook app, — NOT — the Web-Dorado app. Cheers. Next day I see the error. When I save again, everthing is fine. Until next morning.

It does seem to be intermittent. Last night the feed broke, but this morning it’s fine. Does anyone know the specific Facebook app settings we need to have? I basically just created the app and left it be.

This clearly isn’t resolved. Why is it marked as such?

*edit* Thanks for updating the status. Will keep my eyes on this for a reply.

I’m not sure if it is a compatibility issue. I’ve downgraded my WordPress version from 4.9.6 to 4.9.4 and it’s still the same prob… :/

    Hi all,

We apologize for the inconvenience you have faced.

We have released a new version of Facebook Feed Wd plugin, which we believe will resolve the problem.

In case you notice an error still, please edit your feed and save it once.

If you use your own Facebook app, you will need to submit it for review from developers.facebook.com.

Go to App Review page, click Add Items, then choose manage_pages. Afterwards, click Submit for review.

Facebook may require filling out some options also, an icon, privacy policy link, etc.

Please let us know if you have questions.
    Thank you.

I did all this. FB app is live, reviewed, and active.
Also updated to latest version of plugin using WD Manager.
    Still getting the same error:

    “error”,”(#4) Application request limit reached”

I’m also still getting the error. Clicking save on the options page (without even changing anything) causes the plugin to work for a while. It almost seems like the program is forgetting the app secret and ID after a certain time.

    Hi,

Please make sure to add the App ID and App Secret of your Facebook app to Options page of Facebook Feed WD plugin.

Also, as you are using your own Facebook app, you need to submit it to review. To do that, please follow the steps in this video.

Let us know in case you have questions.
    Thank you!

I have tried the solution on a local and on an online version of my website. The local one works fine. But on the online version there is the same error.

    What I did:
    – updated the plugin
    – add the APP ID and SECRET
    – submit

    Hi,

Adding your own App ID and App Secret and submitting your app for review should have fixed the issue.

Could we please have a closer look at it? Please contact our team at support@web-dorado.com and send the link to this forum thread.

Our development team will try to find a solution as soon as possible and we’ll share it here as well.

    Thanks in advance!

I’m also experiencing this issue. I already contacted support yesterday, but havn’t heard back yet. I had to disable the Addon because it breaks the website when it errors. I’m using the App ID and Secret after last friday when it first happened.

Another plugin I have tried has worked correctly without an App ID, and even claims that App ID is broken right now and should not be used.

I think they might have just fixed this issue with the newest update.

    1.0.35
Fixed: Crash on front end when API returns error
Improved: Use another access token if API request limit of current token is exceeded
