ERROR: ZIP archive cannot be closed correctly

  • Hello. Thank you for the plugin; it is very intuitive and easy to use. I am attempting to make my first backup though and encountering errors. Specifically, my log file contains a number of “ERROR: ZipArchive can not closed correctly.” Then after a few restarts, I receive a messages saying, “Backup archive created.” Additionally, a zip file is indeed generated in the correct Dropbox folder, as expected. Are these false error messages, or are they indicating a legitimate error in the backup?

    Good question. No the number of files do not match. The number of files reported by the BackWPUp log is 70,204. The number of files in the archive written to Dropbox is 13,045. How can I further troubleshoot/resolve?

    I’m sorry, I don’t quite understand what you mean by this. Can you clarify?

    In the job settings is a tab with the name Files. Can you provide me screenshots with the settings ?

    There is no error message. But the log says:

    [22-Jan-2015 19:08:59] Archive size is 1.39 GB.
[22-Jan-2015 19:08:59] 70204 Files with 8.09 GB in Archive.

    The archive on Dropbox does indeed have a size of 1.39 GB. But when I unpack that archive, the file size of the unpacked archive is 1.62 GB–not 8.09 GB as indicated in the BackWPUp log. I’m just wondering why BackWPup is reporting 70,204 files and 8.09 GB.

    Can you look what happend if you download the files with ftp. How many did you have than?

    Thank you for your help. I tried to run BackWPup, only specifying the “Backup to FTP” option this time. The job encountered errors. It is still reporting 78469 Files with 9.58 GB in the Archive. How can we troubleshoot this further? The complete log is below:
