    Hi

    Thanks ever so much for this plugin. It has worked wonderfully. Or at least it has until now. I use a VPN plugin (Hola) with Chrome, and when trying to comment with it set to the US, I get this error: ERROR: Your location has been identified as part of a reported spam network. Comments have been disabled to prevent spam.

    Never happened before. Tried commenting with other countries and it was ok. Any help sorting this out would be wonderful as many of my site’s readers are in the US.

    I’m sorry to hear you had that issue, and I’ll be happy to help.

    One thing so that you don’t worry…it’s likely due to the technical details of the plugin you’re using that are triggering the alert, so it’s not likely that anyone in the region are actually experiencing what you are. One thing, there was a bug introduced in version 1.7.9 that incorrectly detected spam servers (and was quickly fixed in 1.8), so if you haven’t had a chance yet, please make sure you are running the most up to date version. Either way, we’ll figure the issue out and get you up and running again.

    I’ll need to dig into technical details with you and email back and forth. If you can take a couple minutes to fill out a support request on the WP-SpamShield Support page, it will allow me to better help you. Once I receive your support request I can email you back within a few minutes.
