Error: You can not choose the page that is set as Homepage

  • Hi, I’m a newbie so please be gracious. I had not checked my site in a few months and now I see an error in my homepage section: “You can not choose the page that is set as the Homepage in Settings > Reading. Please choose another Page.”

    When I navigate to that page in my Pages section of the Dashboard, and click Edit, it appears fine.

    What do I have set up wrong? It used to work fine. Thanks!

    Hi,

    You should not select the page for the About Us section that you have chosen in the Appearance > Customize > HomePage Settings > Home Page field.

    Please make a new page and then copy-paste the content content and the select this newly created page in About Us section.
