When I have the “WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache” plugin installed and I try to empty the cache with “W3 Total Cache”, I throw an error.

Error is: [03-Jun-2020 00:48:28 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 3 passed to Minify_Cache_File::__construct() must be an instance of Psr\Log\LoggerInterface, boolean given, called in /home2/program1/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/Minify_MinifiedFileRequestHandler.php on line 741 and defined in /home2/program1/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-optimize/vendor/mrclay/minify/lib/Minify/Cache/File.php:32

When I disable the “WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache” plugin everything works fine.

I am using the latest version of both plugins.

    Thank you

  • Same here; the latest version of Wp-Optimize seems to have broken W3 Total Cache minification.

    Hi there,

We’ll have a fix for this shortly.

    Marc.

Same here, since updating last night, for example, the site doesn’t load scripts.js and is askew. On deactivating wp-optimize all goes back to normal.

I am using the latest version of both plugins.

    Love to fix this

    Hi,

A fix for this will be released later today, all being well. The problem is that W3TC bundles an ancient (2013) version of the same minify library, which is incompatible. Since lots of people have pre-existing W3TC installs, after studying the code and possibilities, the only solution that works technically is to disable availability of WP-O’s minify feature if the W3TC plugin is active, so the new release will do that.

Please update to today’s 3.1.1 release.

    Thanks David
I’ll look forward to this fix so that I can update the other sites.
Thanks for the rapid reactive reply and the time taken to explain the conflict at the origin of this problem.

    – Great plugin
