    Hey there,

    Just logged into my site this morning and updated the plugin. Had to publish a post for a client right after that, which I’m trying to do now.

    My permalink is set to date, which is okay. I use custom permalinks to remove the date and leave keywords only. But now it’s not working.

    When I optimize the url in the field for that it looks right, but when I see the published post it shows either:
    – whole url with date;
    – only date;
    – date plus symbols after it plus the short url I wanted after that.

    Created a new post, it’s the same. Any idea what to do?

    Thanks for your time in advance.

    Hi @lidiyak

    I have checked but doesn’t found any issue. I have selected Month and name from the Permalinks Settings and created the post and remove the date and it’s working fine.

    Can you please recheck? I have created the post with title “Default Post”.

    Regards,
    Sami

    Hey Sami,

    Thanks a lot for the quick response.

    So, here’s what happened. For around 15-20 minutes it was controlling the url itself and I couldn’t get the result I wanted. Republished the piece, and now worked a bit but left the date there, which is acceptable.

    However, in the meantime I managed to publish another blog post, where in the beginning the plugin showed unrecognized symbols in the url again, but then worked perfectly and is not with a good-looking link.

    I guess inconsistencies like that happen due to other plugins, or else that I can’t guess as I’m not tech-savvy. But haven’t done anything differently on the site and use only trusted providers.

    Anyways, it’s okay now. Thanks.
