This is a great plugin and I have been using it for over a year now. The last update you made changed the interface of the settings, which is great, however I cannot modify the news section.

Every time I try to scroll down to edit the current the streaming news text it just scrolls to the bottom of the page and I cannot edit them. I tried Internet Explorer, FireFox and Chrome and I am getting the same error on all of them. Please look into this asap.

    Thank you.

    Thanks for the compliments!

I am not quite understanding what is happening on your site. Are you not seeing the tick fields to edit? If so, I have separated the ticker types & modes into separate tabs. Make sure you select the Ticker Type (green) tab near the top and then you’ll see your ticker mode settings.

Let me know if this was your issue or if there is something else going on. Also, let me know if you are using basic textareas to set your ticker text or if you are using wyiswyg editors.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The issue is that I cannot scroll down to the tickers to edit the fields, the page just skips all the way to the bottom of the page so I cant edit anything.

I am using the default settings to write plane text in the news fields. The issue is not with the mode but with the editing part. I cannot get to ticker text boxes, the page just skips all the way to the bottom when I scroll down.

Its the same if I try to edit the ticker mode and global settings. When I scroll down the page it just takes me to the bottom and I cant reach the fields in order to edit them. I hope I explained whats happening clearly. I tried using different browsers but I face the same problem with all of them.

Thanks for explaining more. That is very strange behavior. Could you create a private support ticket here https://metaphorcreations.ticksy.com/ and provide me with temporary dashboard access to have a closer look at what’s happening?

    Thanks!

The admin page is restricted to several ip addresses only so I am afraid I cannot do this. I should add that when I scroll down all the boxes shake and then that takes me down to the bottom of page. It looks like they are flickering. I am going to throw a wild guess it has to do with the sticky menu, “Ticker Type” “Ticker Mode” and “Global Settings.”

By sticky I mean these options remain on the screen when I scroll down as well as the ‘update’ button. My theme if it is relevant is TwentyFourteen.

This sticky menu is new and I am guessing this is what is causing the issue.

Its just a guess. But all the ticker text fields shake when I scroll down and then I am kicked to the bottom of the page. I hope this info allows you to understand what is causing this.

I am using all in one pack seo so I see the SEO options at the bottom of the page if that helps anything.

It sounds like you some conflict arising with some other plugin or your theme. I do not have this issue on any of my sites or have heard from anyone else… granted the update was just released last night.

The only thing I can suggest is to run through this article https://metaphorcreations.ticksy.com/article/1483/ to try and pinpoint what other code may be affecting this. Then let me know and I can do some testing with whatever plugin/theme it is.

The plugin works fine on the website, it is just the backend settings. Even though I cannot edit the ticker fields the plugin is working fine on the website. Would it be possible to provide a link for the prior version as this was working fine for me until this is resolved somehow.

I have SSL on all links if that helps anything. Its the first time I have such an issue. It is a great plugin and I wish to continue using it. If you are able to provide a link to the prior version that would be great. If I wasn’t clear before the plugin is working fine on the website, it is just the settings in the admin dashboard.

    My theme is TwentyFourteen

I can give you a link to a prior version, but there isn’t any way for me to resolve this issue without knowing what is going on (this isn’t an issue solely with my plugin). I tested TwentyFourteen and everything works fine on my end. I’m pretty positive that SSL doesn’t have anything to do with it.

Did you go through that article and disable all other plugins? That is the only way I’ll be able to help you out, by knowing what other plugin is causing this conflict.

I will have to take my website offline for that and I have a lot of traffic now so I can only do it late at night. Please do provide me with a link to the prior version, I will test for conflict first before reverting to the prior version but only late at night. This is the first time I am getting such an error.
