• I just updated my Word Press to latest version. Now I have the following error message across the top and can no longer make any changes to the website:
    parameter 2 to be long, string given in /home6/shaltech/public_html/wp-content/plugins/acronym-manager/php/acronym-manager-class.php on line 39
    I am not an expert – so would really appreciate simple step-by-step instructions to fix this. Thanks very much for your help.

    Sorry, I looked up the acronym plugin, and it says that this plugin hasn’t been updated in over two years and may no longer be compatible with newer versions of WordPress. I deactivated it and the error message went away. I do have some experience with UNIX and older coding, but not really Php – though it appears to have some similarity to UNIX. Line 39 is: if ( substr($parent_file, ‘acronym-manager’) ) {
    I wouldn’t know what is wrong here or how to change it, so deactivating the plugin will have to suffice for now – maybe see if there is a more current plugin and redo the acronyms
