I have a problem with sitempas generated by Yoast SEO, particulary with sitemap containing pages. All other post type / category sitemaps are generating fine and working well. But for some reason page-sitemap.xml is not working properly.

I first noticed this error when checking submitted sitemaps at Google Search Console. There i get the following error message with “page-sitemap.xml”:

Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.

Then when trying to visit the sitemap URL, it takes long time to load and finally generates a broken page:
    https://www.laatutavara.com/page-sitemap.xml

Sitemap index and all other site maps are working well:
    https://www.laatutavara.com/sitemap_index.xml

I tried re-generating sitemaps by turning them off and back on from Yoast SEO settings. Unfortunately this didn’t solve the issue. Would you have any other ideas, how to fix the issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’m trying to figure out more details, but it seems that’s related to Divi Builder and how it retrieves images for sitemaps. Could you send more details about theme and plugins?

    I see following PHP error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/Divi/core/components/data/Utils.php on line 225

Something’s modifying your page-sitemap.xml making it an invalid format. @stodorovic is right, it’s probably related to your Divi Builder based on the code showing at the bottom of your page-sitemap.xml source code. Check this screenshot.

We suggest doing a conflict check. You may follow the guide here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

    Closed. No further questions.
