Error with Export and Import of WP 2.1 ?

Hi folks,

me an two friends wanted to merge our three WP-Blogs hosted on my virtual root-Server. All of our three Blogs are WP 2.1. I’ve installed a new WP 2.1 and wanted to import all our old posts. /wp-content/ is writable. So i exported all my Posts. The exported xml seems to be ok. Firefox opens it without errors. Now the strange thing:

When i import the xml-file the browser hangs up with the url ./wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress&step=1 and nothing happens. The size of the xml is 557KB. After that the xml files is stored in ./wp-content/ and is showed 2 times in my upload section.

I haven’t found anything like this in this forum, so i’ve opened a new topic.

Does someone have an idea? Many thanks for help!
