    Hi!

On Jan 10th I wanted to update UpdraftPlus and got an error. At the same time I got an automated email from wordpress (version 5.3.2 by the way) saying that WordPress had “caught” this error caused by UpdraftPlus.
This was the error message in the email:
Ein Fehler vom Typ E_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 39 der Datei /home/.sites/967/site1617799/web/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/admin.php verursacht. Fehlermeldung: Uncaught Error: Class ‘UpdraftPlus_Manipulation_Functions’ not found in /home/.sites/967/site1617799/web/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/admin.php:39

I didn’t have time to take care of it then, so I deactivated the plugin, and the site worked well.

Now I tried to update it again, but I get the error message saying that the plugin file doesn’t exist. Then I tried to delete it, same error message. It’s still in the plugin list, still deactivated, and I can’t do anything with it. So I’m thinking I could just delete the plugin from the server via FTP and then install the latest version from scratch (either via repository or manually, I don’t mind). But I’m not sure which files I have to remove from the server. Can you help? I see two folders:
    /wp-content/updraft
    /wp-content/plugins/updraftplus
Should I delete both? Are there any other files or folders that need to go?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Please delete the files found in “/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus” and then re-install the plugin again. That should work now.

    Thanks,
    Bryle
