Error while trying to authenticate

    Hi,

    on a multisite I had issues trying to login after I changed a subsite domain name. Whatever credentials I entered, I got this message:

    “ERROR: An error was encountered while trying to authenticate. Please try again.”

    By disabling plugins, I found that it was WP Armour that blocked the login. So the solution was to disable WP Armour for the login page. This has not happened on other subsites, I don’t know what’s different with this one.

    Any other way to fix this other than disabling the plugin?

    Can you make sure you are using same version of our plugins for both subsites ?

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    It’s all on the same multisite, so all subsites are using the same plugins. And also this “problematic” subsite worked fine with WP Armour on the login page, before I changed the domain name.

    Versions are 2.1.13?for WP Armour, and 1.26?for extended

    Have tried updating your permalinks after domain change ?

    No, I did not, good idea. I meant to change them anyway. And indeed, it works now. Thank you!
