    We would like to use ratepay payment method via your plugin. yesterday evening two customers used the payment method and the following error occurred:

    DEVICE_DATA_NOT_AVAILABLE Device Data is not available for processing this order. The PayPal-Client-Metadata-Id header value sent during Create Order api call is either missing or incorrect or there was an error in collecting required data. Please verify if appropriate value for PayPal-Client-Metadata-Id header is being sent during ‘Create Order’ api call. Please note this error only applies to payment_source.pay_upon_invoice at the moment.

    I have now tested the payment method myself and everything worked as expected. Nevertheless, I would like to know when the error above gets triggered.

    Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

    We already have a bug open for this issue. What I understood from this bug is that a FraudNet script is including wrong parameter and causes this error because of it. Our developers are working on it, and I am hearing this should be resolved with our next release.
    I expect that we will have a testing package tomorrow for this, so if you want to test this, please open a private ticket with us via these instructions.

    I have linked this thread to the bug, so when this is close, you will get updated.

    hm ok. so hopefully, the update is launched quickly because customer experience is really bad in this case!

    Unfortunately, more problems with the plugin came up now. We received several orders yesterday with duplicate order and payment. All of them with PayPal. This never happened with the standard PayPal plugin from Woocommerce. I really can’t understand why there are so many problems with your plugin. We now have to refund duplicate payments to several customers. I wonder if this is also a known problem?

    When you create a private engagement, we can share the test package, that was created for fixing this issue, with you that should resolve the issue regarding the error DEVICE_DATA_NOT_AVAILABLE.

    When you do, you can also share the logs and system report, so we can take a look at the duplicate order/payments. It could be that this issue is related, but we have to check the logs and order notes in order to be sure about this.

    The issue you were encountering has been fixed in the release that was deployed yesterday (2.0.3). Please update the plugin and verify that this issue has been resolved.
