Error When Uploading Photos

    Hi,
    I just had my wordpress site moved to a new server and I think something went wrong. When I try to upload an image I get the following error:
    Error snow storm 2014.jpg
    Unable to create directory uploads/2012/02. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    I contact my hosting company and they said that directory is writable. Any thoughts?

  • Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    If the problem persists, ask your hosts to investigate any folder ownership issues.
