Hi,

I get the following error when updating a product with many variants:

Facebook for WooCommerce error:
Invalid parameter

I also see that the Variant IDs have missing URL:s.

What’s the reason for this and how can this be sorted out?
This has been working fine earlier on the same product with equal amount of variants.

• Hi @pushparajsilva!

Thanks for passing on this error. With the new version of the plugin, we had to switch the sync mechanism due to a security fix that we needed to implement. This means that with the new versions, Facebook will sync once per hour and retrieve the products from a generated CSV feed file.

It sounds like when the plugin tries to generate the feed file and include this product, it’s throwing the error. I’d love to get a bit more information on this, for instance, where you saw this error (was it a notice or in the logs?) and also how many variations the product has.

The good news is that our developers are putting the finishing touches on a new version of the plugin that uses Facebook’s latest API. This lets us avoid some of these types of issues by using their new Batch Update feature that is much better performing.

Could you let me know when you have a moment to pass on some additional details about the error and product?

Cheers!

Simon.

Hi Simon,

Please let me know what you need and I can provide you with what I can.
This error message was shown as a notice in WordPress.
The item I have have a total of 133 variations.

Please let me know if you need anything else.
Looking forward to see an update of the plugin soon.

Best Regards,
Pushparaj

Hey @pushparajsilva,

Thanks for getting back to me! Is the error still showing itself on the site when updating the product? Would it be possible to share a screenshot of the error that you’re seeing?

It may be beneficial for us to have a look at the error directly in admin, as well as the product settings, in which case, please could you raise a support request via our support form to share these details with us privately?

I can’t see that specific error in our code, though it does seem like it could be thrown by WordPress. Does it happen for other products that have less variations?

Lastly, could you please confirm for me what version of the plugin you are currently using at the moment?

Cheers!

Simon.
