Though I can log into Constant Contact, when I try to connect this plugin I get:

There was an error connecting your account. Please try again.

I’ve tried several times now. Thoughts?

Hadn’t forgotten this one, just checking in on some things regarding it. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks Michael. We just updated the plugin version to Version 1.2.0 after this morning’s WordPress notification, then tried to reconnect. No luck. The site is https://executive.eller.arizona.edu. Contact me directly if you need additional details, thanks.

hadn’t completely forgotten this one. Just in the off chance, I’m curious if it’s resolved itself since.

No, though I did just update to the latest version of the plugin. I am still getting the “There was an error connecting your account. Please try again.” message when I attempt to connect, though I can otherwise log in to Constant Contact.

    Michael:

I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    Simmons and Michael:

So, bottom line: Do not ask for or offer credentials on the forums.

How am I supposed to do any sort of support in these cases then @sterndata? I am not just a random person doing forum support, I am actually representing not one but two companies in this case. So I am putting my best and most professional foot forward. I am also smart enough to take the details to private.

You’re not listed on the plugin’s page as anyone officially associated with the sub-forum. If a plugin dev or official support person wants to take this off-forum, then usually they request the OP to contact them via a support link on the plugin’s site.

    It’s still not connecting.

    Hey @sbuntin,

Would you be willing to email the details of this issue to [email protected] ? We’d like to discuss some debugging details off the forums.

Marking resolved for the time being. If @sbuntin comes back around to the thread, we can resume debugging their issues at that time.

    Thank you.

Sorry guys, been swamped at work. Let me log in this afternoon and see if I can connect; if not, I’ll follow up by email, thanks.

    Understandable, and that happens sometimes.

Looking forward to hopefully getting this figured out ??
