    Hi!

I’m having problems with one of my forms. When I try to send it with files bigger than 7MB it show me this error: An error occurred while trying to send your message. Please try again later.

I configured the form with a maximum upload size of 25MB. I talked with my server technical support too and they told me that there is no limit that could be influencing this error.

The form I have the error with is the first one on this web page: https://www.lanavemalaga.es/contacto/#1678092922724-d0eb8e02-bee1

I have installed the plugin “Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload – Contact Form 7”. But when I disable it I still having the same problem so it can’t be this plugin.

I use the file field in this way:
    [mfile upload-file-650 limit:25000000 filetypes:jpg|pdf|png|doc|doce|txt|mp4|docx]

    Thank you so much!

    See Setting up mail

What email settings do you have in the Mail tab panel?

To protect personal data, hiding email addresses in the settings or replacing them with dummy addresses is strongly advised. You can also include screenshots.

    Hi,

I include screenshots of my Mail tap panel settings.

    Thanks a lot.

First, deactivate the “Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload – Contact Form 7” plugin and replace the mfile form-tag with the regular file tag. The current form shows a lot of problems and Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload is the main cause of them. I can’t tell if the 7MB issue has anything to do with the plugin, but you need to make things clear first.

    Hi,

Ok, I’ve already deactivated the “Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload – Contact Form 7” plugin, and changed the form-tag. I’ve tried it again but I’m still having the same problem with the form.

    Thanks!

What error message do you see just under the file uploading field?

    Thread Starter albals

    (@albals)

    This is the error message:

“Ha ocurrido un error al intentar enviar tu mensaje. Por favor, inténtalo de nuevo más tarde.

    The English translation would be:

“An error occurred while trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

I include a screenshot where you can see the error message.

    Thanks.

Thanks. The screenshot helps a lot. It indicates that you get no file uploading error. The problem occurs in the email sending (with attachments) phase. So, you can now focus on email sending.

What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    Hi!

Ok, great. I include a screenshot where you can see all the plugins that I use on the site.

    Thanks.

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Akismet Anti-spam, Really Simple SSL and Yoast SEO, and clearing all cache data.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    Hello, apologies for the delay.

I did everything you said, but sadly it still doesn’t work. Do you know if I can do anything else?

    Thank you so much.

There may be errors in the PHP or SMTP logs. Ask your host support for assistance to check it. Try turning on the debug mode temporarily if you can’t find the error.
