I received the same error. Trying to migrate from Seamless Donations to GiveWP. Do I need to deactivate Seamless Donations plugin first?

    Hi folks,

Our team has updated the token in our connection server. You should not need to update anything from your side.
Can you try to connect to PayPal again and let me know how it goes?

My client reports they still get an error. 2FA is enabled on the Paypal account so I can’t try myself. I’ll see if I can do a zoom with them when we both are available at the same time so I can supervise.

I’m still getting the same error. The error appears when i click ‘go back to givewp’ after logging in to connect paypal live

Hello, I have the same error.

Trying to connect to paypal live, the paypal windows says the connection is successful, then when I click on “Go back to GiveWP” I get the same critical error posted by @thisisamiel.

Afterwards, the GiveWP plugin setting page says that the Paypal Account is not connected.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi folks,

Just wanted to post an update here. Our team is coordinating with PayPal on this issue to get this resolved as soon as possible. It seems something changed recently on the PayPal side that affects our integration.

We’ll post another update as soon as we have more information.
In the meantime, consider using Stripe instead ??

    Hi folks!

GiveWP has released version 3.5.1 of the core plugin. It fixes the issue of PayPal Donations not being able to connect.

The issue was that PayPal had changed something on their end and not notified anyone of this. After collaborating with PayPal Engineers, GiveWP and PayPal found the issue and the fix.

Before taking any steps for troubleshooting or updating, I highly recommend taking a good backup of the site you can confidently restore from. Having a backup of your site is essential to a solid workflow, and will allow you to restore to a previous version of the site if you run into any issues. You can read more about our top recommendations for taking a backup here: https://givewp.com/backup-for-faster-troubleshooting/

Then, update GiveWP to version 3.5.1 and connect to PayPal. On some servers/hosts you might have to clear all the cache in both plugins and in your hosting account.

Let us know if you have any issues and we’ll assist you. Have a good day!

I was able to connect to Paypal on 2 sites using GiveWP 3.5.1 that had errors before. Thank you!
