Error when retrieving sitemaps

    Hi,

    I am trying to retrieve sitemaps for new site using this plugin. Every time I do, I get this error – “error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document”

    I have reinstalled a number of times now with no luck. Can you please advise how to correct this. Never had this issue before.

  • Please, who will provide the answer to the error encountered while trying to submit the sitemaps? am also facing the same problem here on my website.

    Hi,

    I discovered the problem was in the code on my theme style file.

    I removed the space that was in there and it worked great.

    Check your files via FTP or SFTP and use https://www.sublimetext.com to edit and save.
