• Hi,

I’m using Online Backup on multiple sites I own, and every time I have tried to restore a backup from within the Decrypt Backup-panel I get the following error:
An error occurred processing the uploaded file. Please try again. (The error message was: tempnam(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/customers/5/0/c/domain.com/httpd.www:/customers/5/0/c/domain.com/httpd.private:/customers/5/0/c/domain.com/tmp:/customers/domain.com/domain.com:/var/www/diagnostics:/usr/share/php).)
I have downloaded the backup from my online backup. I use Safari, so I get a zip-file which automatically unzips after download. I have re-zipped it and uploaded it at the Decrypt Backup-panel, and typed in the encryption code. (If I don’t, I am asked to specify it)
What am I doing wrong? I have managed to manually restore a backup before, but I cannot for the life of me find the manual I followed then.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Seems a problem uploading – I will see if I can find a possible cause for the error

However if the file is not ending .enc and is ending .zip you don’t need to use Decrypt a Backup since you don’t need to decrypt it – .zip is not encrypted.

You should be able to extract the .zip now and you’ll have your data. There are several topics about how to restore that (its a manual process at the moment). Generally it invokes uploading filesystem then using phpMyAdmin to restore the database backup into a database. Then checking wp-config.php so the DBHOST etc are all correct if its a new server or database.
