I have it set so that guests and registered users can vote (and view results).

When logged in, all works fine.

When logged out, the View Results text link appears on the left, directly beneath the Vote Button and the link doesn’t work. You cannot vote also. It is like it doesn’t allow you to vote/view results as a guest…. but the guest user is left thinking there is an error because there is no message to say that ‘You must be registered user to engage in our poll’. In any case, I have it set for both guests and registered users.

Hey nordicmike,

Edit you poll and in the “Other Options” section, “Vote Permissions :” should be set to “Guest & Registered Users”.

Hi. Yes, I have that setting ticked. It works fine when logged in but not when logged out. It seems to be an error in relation to that setting though.

You can see the View Results doesn’t work when logged out…. despite having the permissions set for both guests and registered users.

Hi nordicmike,

The problem is with admin-ajax.php

When a user is not logged in and wants to vote https://www.mytrainedbody.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php is accessed.

However, something goes wrong. It can be a problem with the theme or it can be caused by a security plugin.

Just Remove

add_action( ‘admin_init’, ‘restrict_admin’, 1 )

from function.php and all will work fine.
