Error when Location is set on Map

  • Good day, Wanted report an issue. Whenever i add a new place and go to the address bar, input the address and click the “set address on map” button it brings up an error message “The page…….websitename…says: Geocode was not successful for the following reason: ZERO_RESULTS”. Dont know why. Please help. And when i use the “Near” search bar it says no result found, but if i use the “Search for” search it brings out results. Even if the Saerch for and Near fields are related it wont bring up any results when i use both search bars at the same time. Only using the “search for” search bar works. Please help.

    ZERO_RESULTS is the error from google map API saying that is unable to determine the address entered.

    Try dragging the marker on the map on the place where you want to add the place to see how google maps api return that address.

    The search for problem is most likely due to the same issue. Google Map Api not recognizing that address.

    Back again. Good day, Just wanted to still point out that i love your plugin. Anyway, Was wondering if i could turn off one part of the search widget i.e Since the “Near” search box in the search widget doesn’t work for me because for some reason google hasn’t listed my town(Sucks), so that search box is really not necessary but the “Search for” search box works well enough for me. The places i listed using your plugin are within just one small (unlisted) town, so the “search for” box is all i need. Please how will i turn off the other search box and it would be cool if that option is provided in the next update atleast for people in the same situation as me. ?? Thanks

    PS: Dragging the marker to a place i want to add just shows “unnamed road”. So that really isn’t still a locations name. So the near search box is really just not for me yet… ??

    I seem to have this problem too, I think it is google, but if you can check if the plug in is having the issues.

    Hi Jasperguy,

    while googlemaps Api returns results for streets nearby like:

    Connaught Drive, Jasper, AB, Canada

    or

    Hazel Ave, Jasper, AB, Canada

    It doesn’t for that particular street.

    What is weird, wherever I drag the marker, the API returns only Jasper National Park.

    I’ll ask to the developers to see if it is a bug on our side or a google maps Api limitation.

    The code replacing is a little beyond my skills, as it is not just the the plugin itself, the theme I purchase had integrated the script, so I don’t know where to start to alter that.

    I’ll wait for a next release and see if I can just install the plugin and test out. I’m just going to embed the map in the mean time.
