    Hi,
I was looking to disable Cookie and consent Banner widget on a specific page, so i used the jetpack widget visibility to hide the widget for this page.
it works, but in the chrome dev tools appears some errors on the page where i disabled the widget:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'classList' of null
        at eu-cookie-law.min.js?ver=20180522:2
        at eu-cookie-law.min.js?ver=20180522:2

Is there another way of disabling the widget via a function or is there a fix to resolve this error message ?

Thank you in advance for your help

    Hi there!

Changing the visibility on the widget is the best option. Could you share the URL to your site so we could have a closer look?

    Thanks for that.
So this error is expected, however, it shouldn’t affect your site’s performance in any way. What’s your idea behind disabling the cookie banner?
Maybe playing with the banner’s dismissal rules could be an alternative for you. It can be set to one of three options: when a visitor specifically clicks on the button (this option is required for sites running Jetpack Ads), when a visitor scrolls down the page, or after a specific amount of time (as determined by you). If choosing to dismiss the banner after a specific amount of time, the minimum length is 3 seconds, and the maximum length is 1,000.
Once the banner accepted/hidden, a technical cookie named eucookielaw is set, which prevents it from being displayed until the acceptance/consent expires.

I need to disable the cookie banner only on one page, this page display animated ecards ( ecards receivers are landing on this page ) , and it’s hiding the animation on mobile, so no WOW effect for users.
That’s good news that it does not affect website performance.
Thanks a lot for your help have a nice day
