Error when displaying webp product images

Hello. We display product images in the items table in our invoices. However, webp images don’t display, and instead give an error: “Image not found or type unknown”. Although the image renders perfectly in all other scenarios (in browser, in other admin pages / frontend pages), they refuse to load here.
Referring to this post, it looks like you were going to resolve this issue but it still persists unfortunately and is a major blocker.
