I am getting this error when updating a product:

    “Facebook for WooCommerce error:
Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.”

The “Manage Connection” button in WooCommerce – Settings – Integration opens a new window which remains blank.

    I have tried:
    – removing and re-installing the plugin.
    – logging out of facebook and logging back in

  • Hey @foxintheforestau!

Thanks for contacting us about our Facebook for WooCommerce plugin! I’m happy to help out ??

When the plugin connects to Facebook, it receives a token in return that can then be used for future requests, and product syncing. When logging out of Facebook in the browser, this seems to trigger the token to be invalidated from within Facebook, so that the plugin loses connection.

Could you please let me know if you see anything at all when the Getting Started modal opens? If you can share a screenshot, that could be helpful as well. Also, which browser are you using?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kristy,

Thank you kindly for replying to my question. As I was getting the screenshots that you asked for I noticed that I had an adblocker running in Chrome. When I disabled the extension everything seems to be working for me now.
I appreciate the time you spent on this!

    Cheers,

    Matt

    Hey Matt (@foxintheforestau)!

You’re very welcome! That’s excellent news. Thanks so much for getting back to me and confirming that disabling the adblocker extension in Chrome resolved the access token error for you.

If you have any other questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re always happy to help!

    Thanks!
    Kristy
