Error using Edit on my post

  • Lately, whenever I use the “edit” post and save it, I get the following message:
    Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to geourl.org:80 in /mnt/web_k/d38/s32/a0004tng/www/blog/wp-includes/functions.php on line 870
    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/web_k/d38/s32/a0004tng/www/blog/wp-includes/functions.php:870) in /mnt/web_k/d38/s32/a0004tng/www/blog/wp-admin/post.php on line 340

    It didn’t used to happen, and I haven’t installed any plugins lately. Does anyone know what’s up with this?

  • Do you use the Geo URL function built-in to WordPress? If not you can disable it. I believe it can be disabled in the admin menu under Options, Misc.

    Is that where I need to turn off “Use Geographic Tracking Features”? I turned that off but it still gives me that same error message if I use the edit.
