    Hi there,

    I’m using this plugin to import users into a buddyboss platform. After import I can’t update any user details from the front end. I get the error “username already taken”. The first 2 columns in the csv file are username and email. I can’t seem to pinpoint what’s causing this. Do you guys have any idea?

    @nella1980,

    This seems to be a problem unrelated to this plugin.

    Can you deactivate this plugin and test if the problem persists?

    @carazo Thanks for your swift reply! I thought the same thing. However, I have imported 1 csv before your plugin was updated and that didn’t cause this issue; noticed this was happening after this plugin got updated. It doesn’t happen if a user is created through the registration form and previously imported user profiles can be edited without this issue as well.

    I forgot to add that I’m using buddyboss and conditional profile fields for user registration and profile completion. Maybe there’s a conflict there? Disabling the plugin doesn’st seem to solve the issue.

    Sorry, as BuddyBoss is not a free plugin I cannot test it.

    Did you check this problem with them?

    Hi, I did not check with them, I’ll send them a message today. Is it normal that a username is still in the database after that user has been removed from the website? It seems wp/buddyboss is storing usernames indefinately.

    No, if you remove an user. The user is deleted from users table completely.

    Ok, I’m still troubleshooting the issue. I have also noticed that the gender field is not being imported when I use your plugin. Is there something I’m overlooking there?

    Surely you are not using the correct column name or the correct column value.

    You are right. The meta value should be preceeded by the pronoun (his_ her_ their_).

    I’ve also noticed that group 1 for extra fields can’t be edited, but additional groups can be edited from the user profile page.

    The value that has to be included in the meta value is related with the values you inserted creating the field.

    Hi @carazo,

    You can create field sets for extra profile fields other than the default fieldset which includes username email etc. The default field set can’t be edited, it’s throwing an error. I’ve also noticed that the first 2 columns (username and email )show up under extra profile fields when you want to edit a user in admin. I think this is causing the error of the username already being taken en invalid email. I’ll have to quickly figure out how to post screenshot links on the forum and then I can show you what it looks like.

    I also encountered a similar problem. After importing the personnel list, part of the list showed “user with same email has already exited”.
    When I entered the WordPress backend to watch, I could not find these ERROR users.
    This prevents me from recreating accounts using the mailboxes of these error users.

    Sorry but as I told you… I cannot check the problem.

    BuddyBoss is not free and I cannot reproduce the issue.

    Which is the issue exactly?
