• Hi,

I have installed v4.7.3 and up until a few minutes ago, had only installed the “coming soon” plugin by SeedProd.

I am uploading images through the media upload. Some of the images show up properly, some show up sideways and some are upside down. When I try to edit, it continues to give me the message about not being able to perform request.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled WP 3 times. I have tried to upload the photos using FTP to the folder path: /public_html/wp-content/uploads/2017/03, to which nothing shows up in the media library at all. I have tried to upload in bulk as well as uploading the images individually. Still no luck.

I looked through the forum and found the one post about the temporary plugin that would fix issues and have uploaded it. Nothing. Afterwards, I logged out, went through and cleared all cookies and history, etc., came back in and reloaded the images (all ways of uploading) and still nothing.

I am at a loss as to how to correct this. Also, yesterday, after I had installed WP for the last time, the “select files” button in the add new section wouldn’t even work. I came back in this morning and tried again, walaa, it was there and functional.

Please assist with this. I really need to get this site built and am under somewhat of a deadline. It’s a simple painting company website and shouldn’t be this difficult.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance with this! It is appreciated more than you know! ??

Okay, here’s another thing, I have gone in to try once again to upload through the WP interface. Now the “select file” button will not work. It gives this as the url it is trying to link to: https://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/upload.php#

The only thing I have done was to remove a plugin that I had forgotten about in reference to pingbacks just to see if that was causing the issues.

I was able to go back in and recreate the same issue and this is the message that it gives me when I try to edit the files: Could not load the preview image. Please reload the page and try again. Also, it will not allow me the choice to save it just to see if it had worked. By edit, I mean that I am clicking the edit image button below the picture and then trying to rotate it into proper direction.

Could this have something to do with this error that I am seeing in debug mode: (): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1568 ? If so, what do I do to resolve it?
