Error uploading images

  • Hello,

    I am having an issue uploading content to my website running WordPress 3.5.2. Every time I try to upload content to my site, I get the error “Unable to create directory uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?” I have tried changing the permissions of my “wp-content” and “uploads” folder to 777 but that has not worked. (They are now back at 755).

    I have also removed the / behind the “uploads” folder name. Any of the threads I have seen previously mention the “Settings -> Miscellaneous” folder, but with the new WordPress update, that location doesn’t exist.

    We have not uploaded anything to this site in quite a while, so I’m not sure when this issue with the site started.
