Error uploading an image

I’ve just installed a new theme and have made a few changes to by blog in the last few hours, so I don’t know if I’ve messed something up, but when I try to insert an image I get a pop up that just says:

error: “” could not be created

Does anyone know what this is, or if there’s a work-around?
