• I’m having problems with the latest update of plguin jetpack 2.7.2; when I try to update it I get this error:
“There was an error while updating Jetpack by WordPress.com: Download failed. Received HTTP code 403 from proxy after CONNECT”

I tried to disable it and try the update but nothing and now will not connect even more to wordpress. Can you tell me if it is a problem with the plugin or if there is some error in my website?

It’s not the plugin or your site – it’s how the server (webhost) is connecting to www.remarpro.com

I would contact your webhost and ask them why you do not have a direct connection.

Are you familiar with ftp? Could you upload the Jetpack plugin?

My webhost is altervista. However, I deleted jetpack and I installed it manually from wordpress (not ftp) and the installation went well. How come other plugins updates them automatically while using jetpack has this problem? Before yesterday had never occurred

I don’t know. the HTTP code you got would seem to be the source of the issue which is why I suggest contacting your webhost.

    thank you very much

I have exactly the same error message updating today to Jetpack 2.9.3. Also hosted on AlterVista.

How come other plugins update without any problems, while updating Jetpack fails?
