    Hello,
I came across your problem statement. And you are facing a problem with update WordPress to the latest version.
It might be several Issue. But right now let me know do you have any cache plugin install?
    If yes
    Then just
    Deactivate and try once.
It may be helpful. Let me know in both cases.

    Hi!

Yes, I deactivated WP Rocket and when I try to update again, I get now another error… “Impossile to copy the following file: wordpress/wp-includes/js/mediaelement/mediaelement-and-player.js”

I will leave that plugin deactivated but how can i solve it?

    Thanks!

    Hello Patricia,

It’s okay let’s try another method. Can you switch your theme to the Twenty nineteen? check it. If work or not in both cases let me know.
    Best of luck.

I deleted a Child Theme that was creating some issues. I don’t have the twenty nineteen theme. but now I’m getting a different error wordpress/wp-includes/js/media-views.js

It says the same about this file, that can’t be copied.

Hi, I did what you suggested, activated the twenty nineteen theme, clicked on “update now” and I got the following error:
The following file can not be copied: wordpress/wp-includes/js/plupload/moxie.js
    Failed Installation

After this, I reactivated my previous theme, try to update wordpress again and got the exact same error…
