    All 105 of my Wordfence installs updated to 6.2.7 this morning. This afternoon, I’m starting to get email from many of those installs stating:

    This email was sent from your website “Linda Fong Studio” by the Wordfence plugin.

    Wordfence found the following new issues on “Linda Fong Studio”.

    Alert generated at Thursday 1st of December 2016 at 03:40:27 PM

    Warnings:

    * Unable to accurately detect IPs

    So far, I have gotten this message from seven of my sites. I anticipate receiving more of them.

    Please advise.

  • Problem resolved with a manual scan of wordfence. Sorry I posted here I did not read to start a new thread until after I had all ready posted. LOL But my issue is solved. Hugs

    since experiencing problems on two wordpress sites after IP warning, 3 more IP warnings received and expect eventually to see all sites subject to warnings although all updated wordfence at around the same time. There are a number of other anomalies that have appeared for the first time which may relate to the wordfence update with no other obvious explanation. This includes http error warnings on uploading images. 2nd or 3rd attempt to upload succeeds but then image copies appear in gallery to match what were claimed as error failures. In wp-admin page not found warnings appear but the pages open on next attempt and the postings have already succeeded – malware scans have failed to identify any hostile code

    ?? the very first website to report this issue is STILL insisting on displaying this SAME error.

    Yet all other websites that I manage and maintain on the same server (and still others on different servers), all reporting “Checking for the most secure way to get IPs” as Secure.

    I’ve tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating it … scanned … no change.
    Deleting the cache … scanned … no change.

    I’ve manually scanned this site several times today, in between each hopeful resolve, to no avail.

    Help?

    Several, though not all, of my sites are doing this “Unable to accurately detect IPs” (both free and pro Wordfence versions). I have tried the other manual settings and am n ow looking at the other suggestions –
