Tried to connect and got the following error message:

cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

How do I get past this to get Woocommerce payments setup?

  • Hi @gguldens

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you’re unable to connect to WooCommerce Payments and receives the error message above.

Kindly be informed that an SSL certificate is one of the requirements in order to run the plugin smoothly. You can’t skip this step, hence, you are receiving the error message above.

    Hope this helps!

Something on the Internet was occurring when I was doing this yesterday.

I had to try multiple times, but EVENTUALLY, I got a different plugin to accept the certificate.

I finally wound up having to remove WooCommerce Payments and go with one of the other Stripe plugins that experienced similar issues, but not to the level that WooCommerce Payments was.

We are now working successfully on the other stripe plugin.

    Hi @bgboss

Thanks for sharing your solution with the community. This might help others experiencing the same problem too.

    Cheers!
