I’ve just installed and configured Auto Amazon Links and am able to add Units by Category to a post using the shortcode; this works well!

But I would prefer to use the oEmbed method to add specific Amazon product URLs. Unfortunately, after following your directions, instead of Amazon thumbnails, the following alert appears on the Post front-end:

“Auto Amazon Links: Auto Amazon Links The Associate tag is not set. Please check your unit settings.
Auto Amazon Links: No products found.”

I have indeed confirmed that my longtime Associate ID has been set/saved in the Dashboard -> Auto Amazon Links -> Settings -> Associates. I have also added my Keys; but when I test them here and in Scratchpad, I get the following:

    “Error! TooManyRequests
The request was denied due to request throttling. Please verify the number of requests made per second to the Amazon Product Advertising API.”

No other applications use these keys
I have made several referrals in the past 30 days

NOTE: this site is currently under development, so is operating behind a password protection plugin (Hide My Site).

    Please advise.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

If the PA-API keys are too new, you might need to wait for 24 hours or so.

Regarding the Associate tag, try setting it in the Default tab (Dashboard -> Auto Amazon Links -> Settings -> Tab -> Common). This is usually not needed though if you set it on the Associates tab or in the unit settings. Double-check if your Associate tag is set in the unit settings as well.

    Thanks for that!

Yes, it seems one must wait 24+ hours for the API credentials to become active, as I am one step closer; now, the only message is:
“Auto Amazon Links: No products found.”

I have tried adding different product URLs, etc. but nothing works.

I have created new API credentials and will wait 24+ hours before trying again, and will report back here.

    Thanks!

Did creating new API credentials and waiting the 24+ hours work?

I am having the same issue with the “Error too many requests.”
