ERROR: Too many failed login attempts.

  • Hi there,

    I can’t log in my website anymore. I keep getting the error message: “ERROR: Too many failed login attempts.”

    I’ve updated the plugin to the latest version 2.25.1 and I’v added HTTP_X_REAL_IP in the safe list, but with no succes unfortunately.

    The only way I can log in is to disable this plugin via the FTP.

    How can I solve this bug?

    We’re going to add more information to the debug tab soon. Right now it is not clear, why you’re having these issues.
    Meanwhile you can try adding HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR as a trusted origin.

    I’ve added HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR as well. I’ve also updated now to 2.25.2, but still no succes.

    Can you let me know when there’s more info available in the debug tab?

    HTTP_REMOTE_ADDR = IP1,IP2
    REMOTE_ADDR = IP3

    Hi,

    For everyone having this problem, I found a solution:

    – Delete the IP adressess in your blocklist 1 by 1. Somehow be deleting a certain IP (in my case the IP of my webhosting) did the job.

    At the moment I’m finding out with my webhosting why there was a login attempt via their IP.
