  • Hello! Thank you for getting in touch.

I imagine you would need your system administrator to take a look at your server configuration. The most likely issue is that the plugin is not being allowed to access Google’s servers via HTTPS – so you may need to allow a special rule on your server’s firewall or similar.

Please tell your sys admin that the plugin on your WordPress site internally uses Curl (or similar methods) to access *.google.com, and that seems to be prevented by your server at the moment.

Please let me know how you get on or if you have any further information – [email protected]

    Thanks,

    Dan

I contacted my Web Hosting company and they said this.

    Thank you for contacting us.

The issue could be connected with the fact that we block xmlrpc.php (A wordpress file required for external API’s for example) due to security issues with it. You can test and see if this is the case by installing the “Rename XMLRPC” plugin in your WordPress and renaming the actual file while retaining its functionality. If however the plugin you’re trying to use has the string “xmlrpc.php” hardcoded and cannot find the alternative file (what you will rename xmlrpc.php to) there would not be a work-around until WordPress updates this issue.

Feel free to reopen this ticket in case you have more questions or you need further assistance.

Okay they fixed it. Also can i get a custom link which I can put anywhere and clicking on that will push that authentication. I can only access it from wp-admin page.

    Glad they fixed it.

For the login link, you could try a direct link to:
    /wp-login.php?gaautologin=true

that should jump straight to the Google authentication flow.

    Thanks,

    Dan
