    Hello. After installing your free Backup Migration WP plugin, I received the error message, “There was an issue during saving, some settings may stay unchanged” when customizing the save settings.

    Changes look like they saved, IE saved file name, but upon making a backup, file name is the default naming convention. After any setting changes were made/ saved, error displayed in a yellow box upper right of screen.

    Please advise. Thank you.

    Hello @nsmweb ,

    1. Please navigate to the plugin section Troubleshooting > Check advanced options and click on the button:
      Share debug info with BackupBliss team
      And here’s a screenshot that shows where to get it: https://prnt.sc/lKbjrSAqQudm
      Please paste the debug code in your reply.
    2. Please go to settings pages of the plugin
      Right click on the browser and open Console (F12)
      Go to Network tab of the browser and press clear/delete icon to reset the network list
      Then submit and Save settings in the plugin
      New rows will added to the list in the Network logs, please click on each of them them and then copy the data from Response window, and paste it in your reply.
      Here is a video on how to do it.

    Kind regards

    Here’s the debug info: BMI-D0LisoZo-89290

    Here’s the copied info from the Inspect | Network.

    {
    “status”: “success”,
    “ongoing”: {
    “current_upload”: [],
    “queue”: [],
    “failed”: []
    }
    }

    Thanks!

    I installed BM on to other websites and noticed on both websites the name & location of the install contained the plugin name + a 10 alphanumeric characters like below:
    /wp-content/backup-migration-1A2B3C4D5E

    So, on the install where I’m having the setting saving error, I checked “Where shall the backup(s) be stored? And that save location just list the plugin name; like below:
    /wp-content/backup-migration

    I then removed the plugin, renamed the plugin’s folder name and reinstalled the plugin.

    I checked “Where shall the backup(s) be stored? And that save location STILL lists the plugin name; like below:
    /wp-content/backup-migration

    Lastly I added 10 alphanumeric characters, a folder was created for it in the wp-content folder, saved and receive the same error message. For grins I ran a backup and it sped through, clearly not making a valid backup. Once backup was aborted, I renamed location back to original (saved and got error save message), deleted the alphanumeric folder and ran another backup. This time I continued to get an incorrect backup, so I aborted that, updated this ticket and will probably backup with some else as this is taking up too much time and not building any confidence in a mission critical procedure.

    Hi @nsmweb

    Please go to Troubleshooting -> Check Advanced Options -> At the very bottom, reset our plugin configuration to defaults.

    It will generate new backups directory, so you can keep backup of the path from second section unless there are no backups. Otherwise they will disappear until you set the correct backup path.

    If that won’t help, make sure you have enough disk storage as when the space if full, our config file may get damaged as many other things.

    Let me know if that resolves your issue ??
    Thank you!

    Finally coming back; apologies. And thank you so much for the follow up! Reset configuration feature worked! And an original backup was available.

    As for final thoughts on this plugin:
    1. I appreciate plugin support and author offering their continued assistance in resolving the issue.
    2. I appreciate that this plugin is robust enough to have features to correct an issue. this plugin is detailed!
    3. I used this plugin to backup a full website and restore to a fresh installed website (same WP version and Server & DB details) and the backup restored without missing a single item!
    4. Overall a very satisfying experience. I attribute my frustration early on due to my situation. I used WP Clone for so long and then it became outdated. I’ve tried and used several other backup plugins, but keep finding this one easier and doing the job as intended. I’m glad they are continuing the WP Clone tradition. It’s probably time to buy the premium version of this plugin to help ensure it stays around!

    Thanks very much Inisev Team.
