    Hello,

    I’m getting errors on all of my websites using the same Contact Form 7 (Version 5.7.7) with an orange box around the error message.

    “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

    I’ve been doing all kinds of debugging; removed the site key/secret key on Google reCAPTCHA, deactivated/deleted the Contact Form 7 plugin, and reinstalled it. Same error message.

    However, when I switch to another contact form plugin, the error goes away and the message is sent successfully to my inbox.

    There is something wrong with this version of the plugin. (Version 5.7.7)

    Can anyone help?

    To witch plugin do you swith in order to test?

    Hi Frank,

    I just received your reply. Thank you for sending a test!
    Hmmm, maybe all of my fictitious names & emails (when I test) aren’t fooling the reCAPTCHA or something else??

    I tried using WPForms Lite on a test page, and it worked ok, with no errors.

    I’m stumped..

    New twist to the mystery:

    My wife just tested the Hire Talent contact form on Expectllc, and it works. I received her fictitious form entry.

    Why when I test, it doesn’t work, but when others send tests, it works..

    Maybe the captcha counted your attempts and got tired of you ;-).

    Try it with a different browser …

    I think that maybe the reCAPTCHA thinks I’m spam……hahaha

    I think I figured it out. The contact forms work if I use my phone using incognito mode. I think the spam blockers (reCAPTCHA v2 for Contact Form 7) were blocking me on my laptop, perhaps they flagged my IP as spam?
