error ‘There has been a critical error on this website’ – please help!

    howdy all – hope your all well..

    um -after finally getting EDD up and running a few months back (mostly glitches with other pliugins)….I now all of a sudden have the error msg ”There has been a critical error on this website’ when they click on the EDD page link. anyone come across this? any ideas? cheers! ro ??

    the WP website works……unlike some websites that have this error message….its just when they click on the EDD page link. I am using shapely theme….so whether I try a more standard theme like the twenty twenty two and see if that helps? but its worked with shapely up until now….and its all updated……hhhmm….!

    Hey @roro74

    This usually means there is a code error somewhere. The best way to debug this is to check the PHP error log files from your hosting account. There should be error logs in that file that can help us find out the cause.

    Please reach out to your hosting provider to help assist with locating the files and once you find it please post the error log file. You should have lines in there that start with “Fatal error”.
