Error: The token’s User agent doesn’t match

    Hi there!

    I’m using your 2-FA plugin with this mod in the wp-config file:

    define(‘SS88_2FAVE_ENABLE_SUBSCRIBERS’, true);

    Users are reporting an error when they try to login:

    The token’s User agent doesn’t match

    Any ideas? Happy to provide an admin login if you need to take a peak.

    Hi @lkarchner,

    Is it every user or only some? This error means that the browser they are trying to login with is not the same as the one they initiated the login with. Examples of this are:

    • Logging in on Desktop but clicking the link on your mobile device or;
    • Logging in with Safari and then clicking the link but it opens in Google Chrome.

    Currently there is no way to bypass this check as it’s an extra security layer to make sure it’s the same user/browser logging in.

    If you want, you could create me a Subscriber account and I could give it a try. You can submit the private information here which is secure and encrypted.
