Error: The Stripe Gateway returned an error while processing the donation.

  • Hello, i already installed Give in my website, and placed the webhooks (live and test) as explained, but now i go test donation appears:
    Error: The Stripe Gateway returned an error while processing the donation.

    i trying in test and live mode, but both ways occurs error. I am also using the Stripe Payment plugin so i went to settings and changed option of Stripe SDK Compability as i saw Give suggesting it to another client. But the problem of error still occurs.

    I don′t know what more to do. can you help making this work?

    maybe i am doing something wrong in stripe options i dont know. but the other plugin named strip payments it is working fine, but in here i didnt use any webhooks, i only used Secret and Publish keys.

    Happy to get to the bottom of this. Any time there is an error on the front end (like ” The Stripe Gateway returned an error while processing the donation.”) there is an accompanying error logged on the back end of the site at Donations > Tools > Logs > Payment Errors. That will give you a bit more context to know exactly what the problem is.

    I think you are wise to suspect a conflict with another Stripe integration, and would recommend temporarily (and briefly) completely disabling the other Stripe integration and seeing if that resolves things. If so, we can see about resolving the conflict between the two plugins.

    If deactivating that other plugin doesn’t resolve things, the next thing I would look at is disconnnecting and reconnecting Stripe. Navigate to Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways > Stripe and click to disconnect, then refresh the page and connect again.

    Let us know if that resolves things.
