    Hey there,

Been using the plugin for a long time and love it. Just got this error randomly and wondering if you can help troubleshoot:
“Error: The source for the import is invalid or could not be accessed.”

    Here is what happens:
I tried to import different files to help troubleshoot this already. CSV, XLS, XLSX, and HTML file
By file upload and URL upload.
Import as new table, replace existing or append.

I tried all these options with no luck. Using different file formats and a known working file as well with no success yet.

But then I found import with “file on server” option did work strangely. The auto import is also working for the file that I’ve got setup to do so.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The cause for this likely is that something is wrong in the server or PHP configuration here, likely with how uploaded files are handled and how the global PHP $_FILES array is set up. There might also be a problem with the server directory where uploaded or downloaded temporary files are stored, e.g. that it’s not readable.

Can you maybe check the server error log file for more information, maybe with the help of your webhost company?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hey Tobias,

Thanks for the tip. Got my server admins to investigate after I had done some troubleshooting with no success. Turns out the filesystem where the temp directory was located was full. After it was cleared it worked perfectly.

    Thanks again,
    Michael
