• Hello,

I’m having issues with this plugin. The first issue is that it returns this error on the Wizard under:
    Testing: Async

Async JavaScript will now query GTmetrix and retrieve your sites PageSpeed and YSlow scores whilst simulating the JavaScript ‘async’ method.

Error: The page returned an error: 404 Not Found

    The other results return ok:
    Step 2: Initial Test Results
Async JavaScript will now query GTmetrix and retrieve your sites PageSpeed and YSlow scores.

    GT Metrix Screenshot
    PageSpeed Score: 80%
    YSlow Score: 65%
    Fully Loaded Time: 6.94s
    Total Page Size: 2.1494140625MB
    Requests: 168

But we’ve also noticed another issue:
The simulate baseline is wrong. We have our wordpress installation on a subfolder and is being served using the Method II described on this wordpress article:

    Giving WordPress Its Own Directory

So the plugin is identifying the baseline incorrectly. If the plugin can’t detect it correctly maybe there should be an option to override this manually.

For now we’ve just wasted GTMetrix credits.

Yeah, the GTmetrix integration indeed doesn’t always seem to work as expected and from what I understand the changes at GTmetrics might impact that as well. I might look into this when I have some time to spare, but it is not impossible the end result would be to have the GTmetrics integration/ wizard removed … :-/

I think that would be a shame. I wondered if the baseline path not being correctly id’d could cause the 404 error?

I don’t *think* so, but not 100% sure I’m afraid. It _might_ also have to do with the changes at gtmetrics side .. :-/
