ERROR: The email address isn’t correct.

  • When I’m trying to add a new contributor user I receive this error message,

    ERROR: The email address isn’t correct.

    Adding a new user was working last night (early hours UK).

    I did see that the WordPress 7.1 Beta was available, could this have contributed to the issue?

    Unless you’ve explicitly installed it, WP 4.7 beta does not affect you.

    What is the email address you’re trying to enter? If you use [email protected], does that work?

    I’ve tried adding many email addresses, and unfortunately the error message still displays. It’s something that must have been updated today, as it was working fine last night.
