After deactivating I got some errors , so I tried to reinstall. More errors. I had to put som config files in place manually.

Now wp-content file permission is 755, but I still get this error.

Error: The directory containing the configuration file /usr/home/ … web/wp-content/wp-cache-config.php is read only. Please make sure it is writeable by the webserver.

But… If I change file permissions to 777 instead I get a recommendation to protect folder by changing to 755

The same problems!
It looks like an error has been added after upgrading to 1.6.1
On sites with the old version of this there!

Same problem:

Error: The directory containing the configuration file /home/admin/web/domain.com/public_html/wp-content/wp-cache-config.php is read only. Please make sure it is writeable by the webserver.

and it’s not true, the directory is writable!

Someone fixed?

I did not get this error from wpsupercache until recently. This error suddenly appeared when I went into settings of wpsupercache and did a “Test Cache”. Not sure which recent plug-in update caused this but suspect it was introduced by wpsupercache. I checked permissions for this file after seeing this error and it is 0660.
