Hey,
The above error has recently popped up on a site which I’m building for someone. I have no idea why it’s there and was wondering if someone might be able to point me in the right direction, please?
Any advice would be massively appreciated.
It’s a WooCommerce store, using Astra, Elementor Pro and the Astra ‘Store’ template if that helps!

Can you tell us the steps you’re taking to get this error? For example, which pages are you trying to open?
Also, could you please send me a copy of your site’s system status report? You can find it under WooCommerce > Status in the dashboard. Click “Get system report” and then the “Copy for support” button. Once you’ve done that, paste it into your reply.

First, go to Payments > Settings in your dashboard. In the “Payments accepted on checkout” section, do you see this?

The site that I have built is now ready for testing. There are people worldwide who are currently trying to create test orders to check for any issues.

@kateharris Hmm. I’m wondering if that’s perhaps some caching on the part of their mobile browser that could be in play. I’d suggest:
1. Clear your site’s cache.
2. Have them try again on their phone, but in a different browser.
3. Does it work then? If so…
4. Try again in the same browser they were using when they got the error.Let us know if that helps. Thanks!

I have just installed WP Super Cache and tried to clear the cache on the site, but it’s showing as 0 cached pages and 0 expired pages for both WP-Cache & WP-Super-Cache.
I tried to put a purchase through the site again, just in case it worked, but the same error was showing.
Not sure if you’re familiar with WP Super Cache at all, but I’m not too sure how to get it to clear the cache

Thanks for sharing the detail about your caching.
Next step is to disable all other plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Payments only, and temporarily let’s change the theme to Storefront theme.
With that done, can you please try again and the problem persists or not?
You can activate the plugins one by one to check which one is actually causing the problem.

I have been trying to get the site hosted locally so I can have a play. For some reason, I can’t seem to do that. I’ve done it before in the past, but this time I can’t create a staging environment. I’ll keep trying to get it in a staging environment and see if this works.

If you want to test WooCommerce Payments, make sure you follow this guidance: https://woocommerce.com/document/payments/testing/dev-mode/#section-1
Do let us know how it goes after following my suggestion. You might want to briefly disable other plugins, on the live site, if that’s okay, except what I mentioned and see if you are still able to replicate the problem.

First of all, please make sure that if your host offers server-level caching that you also clear the server-level caching to make sure images are shown.
Secondly, in order for you to see the option to enter any test card, please make sure that WooCommerce Payments test mode is enabled.

Either WooCommerce Payments or our WooCommerce Stripe Gateway, the test mode should be enabled first before you can enter a test card on the checkout page.

Can you please advise which payment gateway doesn’t show the option to enter any test card? – The payment gateways that I have enabled are Woocommerce Payments, Credit card/debit card. Apple Pay / Google pay & PayPal are not enabled
Either WooCommerce Payments or our WooCommerce Stripe Gateway, the test mode should be enabled first before you can enter a test card on the checkout page. – The test payments have always been enabled. I have created many test transactions and they all worked fine. It’s just that something changed with that. As in, the Error: Sorry, you cannot access this resource. Since this error, I haven’t been able to create and test any test transactions.

This is on a local test site. Would this whole thing be easier if I used a live test site?
Indeed, please test it on a live site as WooCommerce Payments won’t be able to communicate effectively with a locally hosted website.

Please test on a live site and let us know if the issue with payment gateway/s persists.

So I have now tested again on a live site. I deactivated all the plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Payments. I changed the theme to the Storefront theme.
I went to the checkout and was able to enter in the test card payments (so that’s good) but the error is still showingIf it helps, this is the URL
