I keep on getting this error whenever a scheduled job/back up runs

ERROR: Signal “SIGXCPU” (CPU time limit exceeded) is sent to script!

Note that i already changed the “Reduce server load” to maximum.

Please explain why this error is about and where this is coming from.

    Hi @ruel214
Please also lower execution time to about 10 seconds then try again ( BackWPUp -> Settings -> Jobs tab -> Maximum script execution time -> set to 10.
    Thanks!

That didn’t do anything. I am still getting the same error.

    Hi @ruel214
What about changing the archive to Tar, Gzip instead of Zip?
the issue shows up if a process(BWU’s backup process in this case) has exceeded its limit on consumed processor time, mostly caused because of the server.
So the only solution now I can think of is trying to change to another backup archive, like Tar or Gzip instead.
