Error sending notification message and attachments missing in mail

I am getting this error message when an applicant clicks send application:

“Error sending notification message, but dont worry, We stored Your data securelly. Thank you.”

Before that I did not receive attachments in the notification emails. Updated the plugin and now not receiving any mails at all.

Using version 2.5.7

Please assist asap.
